With one fun-filled day spent in our farmer’s shoes, and two nights in the most idyllic countryside cottage in North Yorkshire, we guarantee you’ll leave this unique retreat feeling relaxed and refreshed, and with memories you’ll cherish forever.
Tuesdays to Thursdays, with Wednesday enjoying many different aspects of the farm, depending what’s going on at that time!

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Enjoy the perfect few days away in North Yorkshire with this as your itinerary
DAY 1 : Tuesday afternoon. Arrive & settle in!
Arrive at Hill Top Farm and let the stress of city life melt away.
After making yourself at home in our gorgeous cottage, a fully equipped self-catering home, you’re free to soak in your own private hot tub; cosy up beside the wood-burning stove; or go out and explore our local area… (we’re happy to provide a list of things to do around here if you don’t know where to start).
DAY 2 : Wednesday. Get out on t’farm!
After a brilliant night’s kip in the cottage, we’ll welcome you both onto our access-all-areas Farm Experience. Shadowing our fabulous farmer, you’ll get stuck into essential farm jobs, like:
- Feeding our new baby calves (seasonal)
- Feeding some of our 300+ cattle and livestock (seasonal)
- Gathering sheep & feet checking (they’re very mischievous so keep your wits about you!)
- Assisting with routine health checks
- Collecting fresh eggs from our chickens
- Mucking-out our cheeky little pigs
- Driving a real John Deere tractor
- Lambing?! (seasonal)
DAY 3 : Thursday. Time to head home
There’s nothing nicer than waking up to fresh air and sprawling countryside views. Make the most of your 11am checkout with slow rise and a hot cuppa in bed. Or enjoy your own home-cooked breakfast before hitting the road. We’ll be sad to see you go, but look forward to having you back again.
The Cow Byre Cottage - Rest & Relax
The Cow Byre at Hill Top Farm offers the perfect setting for a romantic countryside getaway.
Boasting a beautiful, modern farmhouse-style kitchen, cosy lounge area, private patio with hot tub, and a luxury, en-suite master bedroom, there’s lots to love about this home-away-from-home.
Amenities for your relaxing stay include free parking, WIFI, Smart TV, ample fridge-freezer space, fresh bedding & towels, dishwasher and more…
WHAT I NEED TO KNOW
One voucher is redeemable for 2 adults.
Only mid-week dates available (Tuesday to Thursday)
Vouchers are for adults (over 17) only, and are valid for 12 months from purchase date.
Bookings available ALL YEAR ROUND!

Check in from 3pm onwards on Tuesday, and check out by 11am on Thursday.
